Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-Police say a 58-year-old male pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit and run driver as he attempted to cross the street against the traffic signal around 12:45 am this morning.
The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad determined the man was attempting to cross McGuinness Boulevard, walking eastbound in the crosswalk at Bayard Street, against the traffic signal, when he was struck by a black Rolls Royce sedan traveling southbound on McGuinness Boulevard. The man was lying on the roadway and unresponsive when police arrived on the scene.
EMS transported the man to Woodhull hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Rolls Royce fled the scene and remains at large.
