Centereach, NY (77WABC)-Vandalism has occurred to the Centereach Field of Dreams multiple times over the past six months amounting to $38,000 damage.
Suffolk County Crimestoppers is now offering a cash reward for information leading to the person or persons responsible for the multiple incidents of vandalism at the Hawkins Road Soccer Facility.
The incidents began back in December of 2020 when multiple light poles at the Our Savior New American School soccer facility occurred during the overnight hours between December 16th and December 17th.
Since then, police have been called to the field on at least two separate occasions, including most recently May 3rd and May 9th, for damage to light fixtures, signage, and the sprinkler system.
