Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-A 64-year-old man suffered facial fractures, a broken nose, contusions, and abrasions after a random violent attack aboard the “R” train.
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the suspect seen in the attached photos and video in connection with the assault.
The attack happened on Sunday, May 9, 2021, shortly after 1 pm on the northbound R Train at the Prospect Avenue Station. Police say a 64-year-old man was approached by an unidentified suspect who suddenly began punching him in the face. After the attack, the suspect fled the train at Prospect Avenue.
The man was taken by EMS in stable condition to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
