NY: NYC Mayor Visits Bronx Middle Schools On Reopening Day
New York, NY (78WABC)-As of today, an additional 51,000 NYC Public School Students, forced to all remote learning due to the Covid19 Viral Pandemic, are back in the classroom. More than 378,000 of NYC’s 1.1 million public school students have now returned to in-person learning.

As of September, NYC Public Schools say all students will be back in the classroom as remote learning will not be an option this fall.
Meanwhile, Sign-up is underway for students in grades K-12 for “Summer Rising.” The new program offers a unique combination of education, cultural and recreational enrichment for students over the summer:

As of today, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says capacity limits at museums and zoos increase to 50% in the state of NY. Capacity limits at movie theatres are increased as well to 33%. On May 19th, indoor arenas will be allowed to increase their capacity limits to 25%.
NJ Governor Phil Murphy has indicated he will make a “major announcement” regarding outdoor capacity limits during his briefing at 1 PM this afternoon.
