Middle Island, NY (77WABC) Following numerous complaints from area residents Suffolk County police raided a massage parlor at 200 Middle County Rd. in Middle Island Wed. evening. Two Queens women were arrested for unlicensed massages during the raid and the location was shut down

Police say Longmei Zhan and Xiaoqiu Li were arrested and charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession. Police say the charge is a Class E felony under the New York State Education Law.
Furthermore, the business was closed by the Brookhaven Town Building Inspector as a result of the violations.
The two women, Zhan, 62 years old, and Li, 39 years old, both of Flushing, NY, were issued Field Appearance Tickets. They are scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with the Town of Brookhaven Investigator, the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal, and the Town of Brookhaven Building Inspector, took part in the investigation.
