NY: Plans For Citi Field COVID-19 Vaccine Mega Hub Postponed
Queens, NY (77WABC)-It’s opening day at Citi Field in Queens as the NY Mets host The Miami Marlins.
Fans are being allowed to attend today’s game for the first time since the Covid 19 Viral Pandemic meant no fans in the stands during last year’s shortened season.
Under NY State’s Covid 19 guidelines, attendance is allowed at 20% of capacity. Attendees are required to have proof of a negative Covid-19 test. Social distancing will be in place at the stadium.
Today’s starting pitcher for The Mets who have a (1-2) record is starting RHP Taijuan Walker (“Tai Weezy”) who has a 0.00 ERA according to MLB.
The Marlins have not yet announced who their starter is for today’s game.
