Brooklyn, NY (77WABC)-The New York City Police Department’s Asian Crimes Task Force is investigating yet another attack against an Asian American. The video below shows the latest incident Monday morning in front of 1308 Kings Highway in Brooklyn.
A 32-year-old female was walking down the street at approximately 7:45 in the morning when her assailant grabbed her and pulled her hair, causing pain to her head and neck. The male released his grip and bolted.
He is seen in the video slamming his hand against a wall as he left the scene of the attack.
Police say the woman refused medical attention at the scene.
To date, police say there have been at least 33 Asian Hate Crimes in 2021, although the NYPD has not yet deemed this incident as an Asian Hate Crime.
The male suspect has a medium build, brown eyes, and black hair, with a beard and mustache. Police say he was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, and black sneakers.
