According to Rasmussen Reports, a survey that was conducted found that 75% of likely U.S. voters are in support of providing photo identification before going ahead to cast a vote.

Rasmussen Reports goes on to state, “thirty-six states have enacted some form of voter ID law, but those laws would be nullified if the Senate approves H.R. 1, which passed the House on a party-line vote.”

The H.R. 1 bill has been introduced and passed the House. In order for the H.R. 1 bill to become a law, it would have to pass the Senate, be sent to the President and then signed by the President for it to then become a law.
