Axios reports the conditions inside of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection temporary overflow facility.
The migrant surge to the U.S. border has caused overcrowding in some detainment centers. Minor immigrants have been separated from their parents with some being detained for upwards of ten days. Children can legally only be detained apart from their parents for only 72 hours, NPR states.
CNN claims that there has been a lack of transparency at the border as reporters have been denied access to the US-Mexico border.
