(New York, NY)-NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Dave Chokshi Thursday recommended people wear not one but two facemasks to protect themselves and others from Covid-19 per CDC guidelines.
MASK UPDATE: @NYCHealthCommr now recommends wearing TWO face masks when you’re around people you don’t live with. Wear a cloth mask over a disposable mask to keep yourself and others safe. Make sure it’s over your nose and mouth.https://t.co/aT76BVLxyX pic.twitter.com/0SPThk2yoE

Dr. Chokshi says there are four basic guidelines to follow; Double mask, “tight is right,” making sure the mask fits around your nose and ears, those over 65 and high risk should wear a K N95 mask not to be confused with an N95 mask and NYC’s Health Commissioner advises people to wear a mask not only outdoors but indoors as well especially “if someone at home is sick.”
