(Flushing, Queens, NY/77WABC)-The FDNY says a 65-year-old man and his 6-year-old son were killed in an early morning fire in Flushing, Queens. Police from the 109th Precinct say they received a 911 call about a residential fire inside of 45-54 157 Street shortly after 1 AM.
FDNY personnel also responded to extinguish the fire, located on the first floor of a private two-story residence. A 65-year-old male and a 6-year-old male were discovered inside the location, unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced both individuals deceased at the scene. Additionally, another 6-year-old male was removed from the location and transported via EMS to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is listed in stable condition with burns to his body.

The cause of the fire is to be determined by NYC Fire Marshal. The investigation remains ongoing.
