(Brooklyn, NY/77WABC)- The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect seen in the attached photo and video in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Sat. Feb. 6th in Brooklyn, NY.
Police say two men approached a 33-year-old male victim at 11:23 am at the northeast corner of Van Siclen Avenue and New Lots Avenue. The victim and the two individuals engaged in a verbal dispute, which escalated into a physical encounter. Police say the victim was stabbed in his chest. The suspects fled on foot. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
The individual being sought is a male, with a dark complexion, slim build, with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a black and white jacket, a yellow hoodie, black baklava, black jeans, Nike sneakers, and a Seattle Mariners baseball cap.
The second suspect was arrested shortly after the assault. He is identified as Rajendra Sing, a 32-year-old male from Brooklyn. He was arrested and charged with Assault.
The surveillance video and photo were obtained from a grocery store on New Lots Avenue, in the vicinity of the incident location.
