(New York, NY/77WABC)-The NYPD says a Bronx man is charged with murder for allegedly killing another man by dousing him with a flammable liquid and setting him on fire in Sept. of 2020. 28-year-old Errol Stephenson of Osman Place in the Bronx was taken into custody Sat. afternoon by officers from the 71st Precinct.
Police say Stephenson allegedly used a flammable liquid to douse 46-year-old Patrick Winkler of East 30th St. in Manhattan on Sept. 16th, 2020. The incident occurred at the intersection of Schenectady Ave. and Rutland Rd. following a dispute. EMS transported Winkler to Cornell Medical Center where he died on Oct. 19th, 2020.
Police have not said what led to the dispute.
