NY: Homeless on the street in New York
(FLUSHING, Queens /77WABC) – Authorities say a Queens woman is dead after a malfunctioning hot water appliance caused deadly Carbon Monoxide levels inside
the woman’s bathroom Tuesday evening.
The woman was taken from her Leavitt St. apartment to Flushing Hospital in Queens, NY where she was pronounced dead.
Con Edison says no other apartments or residents were affected.
Other residents of the building were temporarily evacuated as the apartment building was vented.
The name of the woman killed has not yet been released.
The cause of the appliance malfunction has not yet been determined.
