WASHINGTON DC (77WABC) – Today is Inauguration Day, the swearing in of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. Many are hoping it will be the dawn of reunification and rebuilding of America, something that is desperately needed.
The inauguration will feature pomp and circumstance including former presidents, congressional leaders, A-list performers, parades and tributes to the troops, but this time before a small, socially distanced audience in a city that uis now on lockdown. The first threat, the coronavirus pandemic which has now killed over 400,000 people in the U.S., and an unexpected threat, also still fresh and raw, possible domestic terrorism after the deadly violence at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.
WABC Radio will be taking the inauguration live on the air when it’s scheduled to occur at “high noon.”
