
NEW YORK (77WABC) – Governor Andrew Cuomo will be presented with an International Emmy award called ‘The Founder’s Award’ for his leadership during the pandemic.
International Academy President and CEO, Bruce L. Paisner wrote in an announcement, “The Governor’s 111 daily briefings worked so well because he effectively created television shows with characters, plot lines, and stories of success and failure.”
He added, “People around the world tuned in to find out what was going on, and New York tough became a symbold of the determination to fight back.”
Previous recipients of the Founder’s Award include Former Vice President Al Gore, Oprah Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg.
