NEW YORK (77 WABC) – Four more states have been added to the Tri-State Travel Advisory. This requires travelers to self-quarantine for 14 days.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, and Ohio now meet the metric for the quarantine. This will apply to any person arriving from an area with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a 7-day rolling average or an area with a 10% or higher positivity rate over a 7-day rolling average.
Cuomo says New York plans to put a 2 thousand dollar fine against travelers who leave airports in the state without submitting a form that says where they are arriving from and where they’re going.
There are currently 34 states on the list including:
