
NEW YORK (77 WABC) — More than 87,000 COVID-19 tests were done Tuesday and the positivity rate was at just .79%.
“New York is reaching new heights in its ability to track and trace the virus, and that’s evidenced by the record number of tests,” Governor Cuomo said.
There were 700 more coronavirus cases in the state, including 386 in the five boroughs.
Cuomo said seven people died yesterday from COVID-19, six were residents of New York City. Hospitalizations, ICU patients and intubations rose slightly.
Today's update on the numbers:
Of the 87,776 tests reported yesterday, 700 were positive (0.79% of total).
Total hospitalizations are at 558.
