NEW YORK (77 WABC) — The Nets will play the restart in the Orlando bubble without Spencer Dinwiddie, who had a second positive coronavirus result.
Dinwiddie was recently showing symptoms.
He tweeted Tuesday that after consulting with team doctors, “I have decided that it would be in the best interest for me and the team that I do not play in Orlando.”
The Nets are already short handed without injured Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. DeAndre Jordan also announced he would not play after testing positive for COVID-19.
Dinwiddie had been putting on a career year with 20.6 points per game.
After another positive test yesterday and considering the symptoms, @BrooklynNets, team doctors and I have decided that it would be in the best interest for me and the team that I do not play in Orlando. I will be supporting the guys every step of the way! #AudienceOfOne
