NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies
NEW YORK (77 WABC) — Was Portland Trailblazers star Damian Lillard almost a New York Knick? He believes so, according to a recent Vanity Fair interview.
In a wide-ranging interview, Lillard mentioned that trade rumors a few years back made him think he was going to call Madison Square Garden home. It’s unclear how far back he was referring to.
“I thought I was headed there a few years ago; I was hearing trade rumors,” Lillard said in the interview. “The Garden is my favorite place to play.”
