NEW YORK (77 WABC) — The NYPD is investigating after at least eight people were shot in four different incidents in Brooklyn.
One shooting took place in Brownsville just after 10:30. There was a large dispute near Bristol Street and Newport Street.
A 23-year-old woman was shot in the face and critically injured, ABC7 said. The other victims, who range in age from 17 to 50, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The gunman, described as a man in his 20s dressed in black with a white t-shirt, fled the scene.
The other incidents all happened within a four-hour span.
In Stuyvesant Heights, police say two men were shot in the legs around 10:45 p.m. They were hospitalized in stable condition.
Around the same time in Flatbush, NY1 said, a 35-year-old man was shot in the back, while in Flatlands, a 36-year-old was shot in the torso just before 2 a.m.
Those victims were reportedly also in stable condition.
The shootings are all being investigated.
