NEW YORK (77 WABC) — The NBA is having discussions to resume the season at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando.
The exploratory talks are about bringing the NBA back in late July, ESPN reported.
It’s not clear if a restart would mean finishing off the regular season or heading directly to the playoffs. The Wide World of Sports facility has three arenas and several hotels to keep players and staff isolated.
The NBA was halted indefinitely March 11 due to the coronavirus shutdown.
Board of governors are expected on a conference call Friday to figure out the next steps for moving forward, ESPN said.
