NEW JERSEY (77 WABC) – A Lakewood, NJ couple was busted on Sunday for hosting a gathering of 40 to 50 people at their home. The large group took over their front lawn and street before being broken up. The couple has been charged with violating the ban on gatherings and five counts of child endangerment.
Eliezer Silber and his wife Miriam Silber were the two charged after being reminded that gatherings had been banned in the state for over a week. Five children were present at the Silber’s property.

Lakewood is among the highest locations in New Jersey with positive COVID-19 cases, with 371 confirmed as of Sunday.
The Silbers were given summons to appear at Ocean County Superior Court.
