NEW YORK (77 WABC) — Amazon workers are picketing outside their warehouse in Staten Island demanding safer working conditions during the coronavirus pandemic.
Multiple employees at the facility have tested positive for COVID19 and the company hasn’t done a deep cleaning of the warehouse.
In addition, Amazon workers want more access to paid sick time off. Right now, it is only available to those who have tested positive for the coronavirus or get placed on mandatory self-quarantine.
