NEW YORK (77 WABC) — America’s favorite pastime has been pushed back to at least mid-May. The MLB season will not start on March 26.

Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced that all 30 major league teams have committed $1 million each to help assist thousands of ballpark employees affected by the delay in start of the baseball season.

Many stadium workers, like those who work concession stands and ushers, are part-time employees who are paid on a per-game basis.
