NEW YORK (77 WABC) – Gyms, movie theaters, and now Macy’s will be shutting its stores nationwide to help curb the spread of COVID-19. This will take effect at the end of business today through March 31.
The closure affects all Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Bluemercury, Macy’s Backstage, Bloomingdales the Outlet and Market by Macy’s stores. Store websites will remain open.
The New York City-headquartered department store chain said it will provide benefits and compensation to its impacted workforce.
