The Roe Report
Roe Conn has been with WLS since the switch to Talk in 1989. A lifelong Chicagoan, Roe has become one of the city's top rated radio personalities. Roe has been recognized by Talkers Magazine as one of the "100 Most Influential Talk Show Hosts in America" and received the prestigious Radio and Records Industry Achievement Award for Best Local Talk Host in America.
While at WLS, Roe has also worked for the ABC Radio Networks hosting ABC Radio's PRIME TIME, and has lent his talents to WABC in New York, WJR in Detroit, the SW Network, and Walt Disney Pictures. He has appeared on local and national television including Nightline, Larry King Live, PrimeTime Live, World News Tonight, and the NBC Nightly News.
The son of a military family, Roe spends a great deal of his free time working for military and law enforcement causes. His commitment to the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots has led to an honorary membership in the Marine Corps League. Roe is a Gold Star member of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and has flown with the USAF Thunderbirds.
Before joining WLS, Roe produced Emmy-winning commentaries at WBBM-TV and started his career as a producer at WMAQ Radio. Roe is a 1986 graduate of Denison University, where he studied Anthropology.
