One of the longest running, most entertaining voices on the New York radio dial and one of cable television’s wittiest talking heads; Mark Simone’s broadcasts are filled with lively humor, savvy insight into current events, and an insiders look at the rich, powerful and famous. He is one of the most experienced interviewers on the planet. His past guest list is staggering and his long history with those famous names often makes for some intimate and forthcoming interviews.
Mark weekend broadcast on WABC was number one in the winter NYC rating book (winter 2002, Arbitron, 12+) severely trouncing every other radio station on the dial. With guests like Jerry Seinfeld, Rudy Giuliani, Regis Philbin, John McCain, Mike Wallace, Mel Brooks, Dennis Miller, Larry King, The Sopranos and Jay Leno, it’s no wonder!
His radio resume includes many historic call letters. For two years he was the co-host of a three hour daily comedy show with Steve Allen on The NBC Radio network. He co-hosted a two hour nightly talk show with Tom Snyder on The CBS Radio Network.
In December 2005, Mark added Saturday Night with Mark Simone to his plate. This 3 hour show, 6-9pm Saturdays takes listeners back to the WABC music radio hey day and into the present with great music, artist interviews, and what's happening from movies to Broadway.
